What Owesome is — and is not

Owesome is a record-keeping tool. It calculates shares and balances from what you enter. It is not a bank, a payment institution or a money transmitter: it never holds, transfers or settles funds. Every payment happens between you and the other person, outside Owesome, and recording one here is a claim by whoever recorded it — not proof that money moved.

Your account

You need an account to keep spaces. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; anything done with your account is treated as done by you. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.

What you put in

You are responsible for what you enter, including the accuracy of amounts and anything you write in a note. Only add other people’s details — a name, a receipt showing what they ordered — where you are entitled to. Do not upload anything unlawful, and do not use Owesome to harass anyone or to keep records you have no right to keep.

Shared spaces and guests

A space is shared. Everyone in it can see its expenses, splits, balances and receipts, and the activity log records who changed what. A guest link gives whoever holds it access to that one space, so send it only to the person it is for. Anyone in a space can be removed by its owner, but their entries stay in the ledger because other people’s balances depend on them.

Receipt scanning

Reading a receipt with AI produces a suggestion. It can misread a price, miss a line or invent a total. Nothing is saved until you confirm it, and you are responsible for checking it. Do not treat an extracted receipt as an accounting record.

Availability

Owesome is provided as it is, without a guarantee that it will be available, complete or error-free. We may change or discontinue features. We keep backups but you should not treat Owesome as your only record of anything that matters financially.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any disagreement between you and the people you split with. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for intentional harm, gross negligence, or injury to life, body or health.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from account settings. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Cyprus, without displacing any mandatory consumer protection you have where you live. Questions: info@passionflow.net.
